Court rules in favour of Tyrese Gibson

Hollywood Musician and Actor Tyrese Gibson has been having some baby Momma issues. If you follow his journey you would note that Tyrese generally shares everything that is happening in his life ( almost everything) on his Instagram account, so he did the same and shared the troubles he was having with his ex-wife Norma Mitchell Gibson ( if she is an ex- wife why is she still using his last name?)

Reportedly, his ex-wife, Norma Mitchell Gibson, claimed that back in 2007, while she was pregnant with their child, he burst into their bedroom after midnight, poured water on her and proceeded to punch her eight to nine times all over her body. (wow and she only brings this to light now, hmmm)

She added that the abuse continued following the birth of their daughter Shayla, claiming that he punched her in the head while she was holding the toddler, who was 4 at the time, in an elevator. She also claimed in court documents that on August 19, Shayla was staying with Tyrese when he allegedly “went into a rage, pushed our daughter to the ground, pinned her face down, put his knees on her back, grabbed her hands with one arm and beat her with the other.” She alleged the incident began when Tyrese accused the young girl of “stealing her own piggy bank money that she received for her birthday.”

After weeks of court, a judge has ruled, and according to, “The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services closed their investigation and will not be seeking any criminal charges against the actor.”

It’s painful when someone moves on and leaves you behind. Whether she is still in love with Tyrese and she is using their daughter against him or to drag his name down the mud only heaven knows. All the best to Tyrese and his partner. To all parents out there, please leave children our of your mess. #Unacceptable

Where is Babes Wodumo’s Award?

babes wo dumo

Wololo is undoubtedly one of the biggest kwaito tracks of our times. With so many nominations from Metro FM , BET and the recent SAMAs it remains a true mystery how and why Babes wo Dumo has not won even 1 award for that track.

So the question is why hasn’t Babes been credited for the stellar work she has done on the track? She even has a BET Nomination and sadly no Award to date. Could it be foul play like Babes has hinted in her video? Personally I believe she does deserve the ” New artist and Song of the Year Award but the latter is dependent on how many fans vote so Babes should also consider redirecting her disappointed to her fans. Why did they not vote for her?

The singer  used Social Media to vent her frustration with the SAMAs and I am guessing they did nothing but respond with a diplomatic response. Here are Babes’s sentiments.

“I was even nominated for the BET’s overseas but I don’t get even one award at home? There is no such thing, please don’t play with us. Continue to buy your awards. Continue and feel free, because we’re not going to go hungry, we’re getting booked. I will always be Babes and Mampintsha will always be Mampintsha and West Ink will always be West Ink. Thank you”

SA Idols Season 13 is BACK!!

sa idols

SA Idols season 13 is back on your TV screens on Sunday the 9th of July , 2017.

Unfortunately Gareth Cliff will no longer be one of the judges for the much loved and watched music reality show in SA. Somizi, Unathi and Randall Abrahams will return to bring you another jam-packed and exciting new season of Idols SA. Proverb will still hold it down as the host of the show  (maybe it is time to also shuffle the Presenter)..just thinking aloud.

While we wait to see what happens with the empty seat during the live shows, some celebrities occupied it during the audition phase. R&B muso Donald impressed in Cape Town, powerhouse vocalist Kelly Khumalo took charge in Joburg, the opinionista of the airwaves Phat Joe was in Durban and former Idols winner and music star Khaya Mthethwa gave love in Pretoria.

For the first time in Idols history, the show introduced the Golden Disc, a “get out of jail free card” that a judge can use to bump up a contestant to Theatre Week even if the other judges say no. Every Season of SA Idols is always filled with laughter, humor and of course large doses of SA talent.
